Invincible

“In your new form, you will be invincible,” the emperor said softly. “The enforced frame will deliver pain medication through subdermal conduits; the circulatory mechanics will make you fast, strong, and impossibly focused. The active carbon matter casing will not interfere with channeling and using The Force.” Vader said nothing. “Do you have concerns? Questions about the design or the master plan for intergalactic domination?” the emperor asked, irritated by the silence. Vader pointed to his face plate. “Since you’ve thought of everything, any idea what I’m supposed to do if I get a cold?” he breathed menacingly into the panel. “Goddamnit,” the emperor muttered, frowning. “Wait … so … am I the only one in this room that’s seen “War of the Worlds”?” Vader prodded. “Shut up and let me think,” the emperor spat hoarsely. “Of course,” Vader said, standing at attention and smirking behind his mask.
