Passing Words: Anthony Head

Passing Words: Anthony Head

"It was tempting to have you pop in at the library," Peter confessed, "and stage a whole thing." "A whole thing?" the soul inquired, amused. "Well, you know ... big musical number ... a parade of poncy gits singing and dancing in Pseudo-Byronic cravats ... " The soul snickered. " ... and I know better is the thing," Peter continued. "Honestly, you start there and what's next? Does the Tardis arrive in the middle, cue outpouring of fog, only to have Doctor Frank-N-Furter step out? Do we drop down a banner that says "Welcome, Ripper" and stake a vampire? I mean ... I can't even tell you how quickly I'd be in a meeting (a Come-To-You-Know-Who meeting)." The soul howled with laugher, delighted. "Well, I can neither confirm nor deny that all of it would be both tawdry and amazing," it comforted, "and I should be very touched as I am with even the idea of it. Thank you." Peter smiled gratefully and opened the gate onto what was less of a garden and more of a farm. "All the same," he said, motioning the soul to enter, "let's start a bit quieter, shall we? Shouldn't keep her waiting." The soul did not hesitate, heading off towards the stables at a sprint.

In memory of (Stuart) Anthony Head, who passed at the age of 72 on June 1st after a brief illness. Head's longtime partner, Sarah Fisher, passed suddenly only 6 months prior (in December of 2025). Mind how you go, Ripper, and fare thee well.
