Magic

Magic

Magic took the form needed to bring its designs forward. It was a bus driver who waived the fare; it was a call coming in at the right time; it was an unfamiliar neighbor who found and returned what was thought lost; it was a whisper in the dark - a familiar voice in the ear of the grieving that said, "I have never left your side"; it was a tiny black cat curled up on a lap, giving comfort and ease. Magic touched all, not caring if it was recognized for itself or dismissed as coincidence, for it lay within and without, between the known and unknown, wrapped in its veil, concerned only that the world should not completely lose its hope and sense of wonder.
