Work

Work

"For dependability, you stand alone; I've never seen anyone who shows up at work, day after day, positive and ready to pitch in. You embody teamwork in every way." Larry smiled, shifting self-consciously in his seat. "And I want you to really take that in, Larry," Peter continued. "Your dedication ... your loyalty ... I see it ... WE see it, and it matters." "I love what I do - I always have," Larry responded softly, "so thank you." "You don't have to change a thing if you don't want to, and I mean that," Peter continued, "but you ... how can I say this ... you can relax into being dead if you wish. Take some time for yourself. Focus on your next incarnation (if that's something you'd be interested in). Haunting your place of work is fine - lots of people do it, but there's a larger eternity waiting for you if you care to give up the grind." Larry laughed and looked at his lap. "I guess old habits really do die hard," he sighed.
