One by one, they answered the question. "I'm going to play outside with EVERYONE until I explode!" Jeremy yelled at the top of his lungs. "I'm going to the beach and we're going to eat hot dogs afterwards!" Chris smiled. "I got movie passes for Christmas, so I'm going to watch movies and eat popcorn and drink a bucket of Cherry Coke!" Monica interjected. Nellie kept thinking, chewing her lower lip. "Nellie? What about you? What are you going to do when we can do whatever we want?" the young woman who ran the virtual afternoon playgroup prodded gently. "Don't be mad," she whispered (and they all promised), "but I hope my family doesn't find out right away. We cook together and ride bikes and play games and tell stories we made up ... it's the most fun we've ever had in our whole life." And the group leader moved them on to Mad Libs stories, but Nellie's hope for an extended quarantine touched her and stayed with her all day.
