"Pretty much everyone is scoring low on social components right now," Glenda shared in the case review session, "and I'm talking about that very directly with them on how to stay connected - engaged in life." "I'm doing that with mine as well," Cynthia commented, "and I start with asking them what they want to be when they grow up. It's a way to ease into a discussion about intention and potential." Everyone smiled. "Who gave the best answer?" asked one of the memory care interns. "Oh, hands down it was Bunny Shapiro," Cynthia responded. "She looked me straight in the eye and said, "Oh, easy one; I'm going to be vengeance." The intern gasped and Cynthia nodded, grinning broadly. "Yeah, Bunny clarified that she seldom forgives and NEVER forgets, and is in good enough health to make that somebody else's problem." There was a pause before laughter erupted in the room and all of the social workers raised their coffee cups in a toast to Mrs. Shapiro. At that moment, across town, Bunny was beginning a flexibility program for seniors with a mind to build both strength and endurance; she would need it if any of them tried to run.
