Shed
He walked with her to the edge of the property to put out food, water, and new toys (the old ones sat off to the side of the shed in an impressive pile). The shed, door cut in half so that the lower portion would allow quick and easy access, was covered with straw and shredded wool felting inside; it had clearly been used, but was clean and well-cared-for. "Wow, this is an incredible thing," he remarked (and she nodded). "How many stray dogs are using this?" She kept working, fluffing up the straw and wiping down the walls with enzymatic cleaner. "Dogs? Almost none, I should think." And he paused then, confused, but she ignored him when he pressed her to explain.
