Alice uploaded the video and audio files, adding her recommendation to complete the documentation. "Connections are deep in this single parent family; relationships are thriving and warm. While unable to verify unkemptness at school, all suspicions of neglect are at this time unfounded. It is more likely, after pulling financials (see Appendix C), that this parent is prioritizing food and shelter over aspects of presentation and may not have the resources necessary to use the laundromat regularly or consistently (note: large load washed and dried in nearest facility is $2.75 and $4.50 respectively [$7.25]). Hand washing is effective but arduous, and this parent works two jobs to ensure survival of the family; variance in baseline cleanliness may be attributed to exhaustion of the caregiver. RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDE: 1) no action on the part of the school, 2) no action on the part of Child Protective Services apart from an official request to review this parent's support services and increase benefits immediately wherever possible, 3) separate and apart from #2, activate respite services converting that dollar value into a monthly laundromat gift card, and 4) add both children to the Play Date program roster for the opportunity to give this parent an occasional day off for health and well-being." Alice applied her digital signature, taking a deep breath before completing the next file; it would be a hard one to write. "I hope you're paid a fortune, girl. I couldn't do it - all of that recon (digging in the garbage of someone's life) to find out the truth. Why do you do it?" her friend asked her over wine and cheese the night before. Alice had hesitated before saying, "I wish someone would've done it for us."
