The soul did not "check in"; it was simply there and then here, with soft grass, a light breeze, and the smell of flowers. An angel was near to comfort it, but the soul adjusted quickly to its sense of wonder (which was the "sixth sense" in its purest form), and took a step forward. Although weightless, there was a change in its knowledge of itself and a shift in its center; awestruck, the soul spread its new wings wide. "Go," the angel whispered kindly. "Anywhere and everywhere, if you like - and you can open your eyes without fear." But it did not and would not - not just yet, because you couldn't see love anyway; it was a thing you felt as you leapt forward (surrounding, protecting, and celebrating your ability to fly).

Endo, an Appaloosa horse who, despite losing both eyes to chronic glaucoma and uveitis by age 13, gained worldwide fame for setting three Guinness World Records (highest free jump, fastest weave through poles, and most flying changes [directions altered while running]) while blind.
