Truth
He'd found the mirror in an estate sale and the sheer size of it filled him with awe; the price was right (ridiculously cheap), so he came back with a friend's van and took it home. For a while, the influencer used it as a fashion content prop without issue, but there came a moment when it had spontaneously clouded over and he'd heard a voice calling him out for vapidity and vainglory (he had to look both of those up). From that point on, the mirror would cloud and the voice would start as soon as he began recording and prancing about; it was annoying and yet uniquely surreal, so he attempted to capture the character critiques to verify that they were actually happening. He didn't mean to upload the one where he was called "a person of staggering pointlessness found only in the lowest of dung brickers (couldn't find that one, so had to go fully literal)". It went viral, bringing all of the fame he had desired and courted so unreservedly, but at a cost he'd not foreseen. It attracted those equally if not more arrogant and shallow, more manipulative and selfish, than he himself; they all wanted to taunt the mirror and have it roast them for fun. But it wasn't fun to hear the truth about yourself, he realized, because the truth was a change agent and it would not relent.
