"Really, what makes you a class act is all of the things you DON'T say," Bonnie shared at the happy hour, grinning. "You say, 'Thank you for the feedback' or 'I really appreciate the guidance' instead of 'I am immortal and will make it my unending goal to rid the world of your line' or even 'I appreciate your well-wishes; as of this moment, my "future endeavors" include: destroying your fragile and baseless ego, teaching you the working definition of despair, and reaching new heights of maniacal laughter'." They all grinned and raised their glasses in solidarity, eyes glittering. Bonnie loved midnight margaritas almost as much as she despised her day job; it helped her to remember that, at age 433, this too (all of the people and all of the rubbish) has no choice but to pass.
