On the day in question, Paul wore a shade of grey manliner to his accounting job that greatly complemented his eyes, and Nora had slipped on a faux septum piercing in a soft gold that was the talk of the break room at the cleaning supplies company. They had picked the day at random and had raised a glass afterwards to toast their ongoing efforts to disrupt The Expected.
