DIARY PAGES: Dr Helga Holzmann-Wier

Petel Downs Laboratory, Helsinki, Finland

The temporal experiments are currently suspended after Tobias' psychotic break. We will review the data and two working models and regroup. However deeply unfortunate, this is what we needed to reveal our first findings: that the concept of time must be kept continuous to preserve sanity; we consciously adapt it to our peril. We have discovered that, while the limits vary from person-to-person, there is only a certain number of "daylight savings times" a human can endure before mental cohesion erodes. For Pualket, it was 76 gaps created, for Lennis, 114, and for Tobias (now), 168 applied in the study. There is a line we dare not cross unless our Dr Jekyll is ready and willing to meet its Mr Hyde. It makes me wonder how much time I have left.
