Passing Words: Rexx Arkana

Passing Words: Rexx Arkana

"Wow," the soul said, "what do you know; Heaven has a drab ass basement." Peter shrugged. "Celestial conductive," he explained. "It shows up looking like concrete after a landslide, but ... spin something." The soul did, and the conductive blocks glowed like the stars and rang out clear and true and loud as all Other Place. Every cell was singing with it. "This place is gonna be so LIT," the soul whispered. "And you guys thought you brought the light out of the darkness BEFORE ..." Peter left the soul to it; the others would come, but it would be a hot minute before the soul regrouped and looked out to see one seat taken. It had to be the way it was. "What the fu--? DAD?!?" it would call out, and the conductive would broadcast that, too, in a feedback loop of the purest joy.

New York musician and DJ Rexx Arkana died this month of cancer at the age of 57. He was a staple in the industrial music scene, half of FGFC820 and creator of projects Bruderschaft, Coldkill, etc., as well as running Statik magazine. Rexx (aka Rik Millhouse) passed exactly 27 years after his father died of cancer also at age 57, leaving behind his wife and daughters. "If you love someone, every day is a chance to prove it" - Rexx Arkana
