Marjorie read the slip of paper and felt okay about it - the randomness, the possible impacts; she was the one responsible for it, after all. When Marjorie had decided she needed more fun in her life and had made the jar (of 1000 fun things to do), she took responsibility for that (all of it, from actually being wrong about the level of fun to underestimating the cost of not dying of boredom ... and more, of course). So, today, after the pull, Marjorie simply took a deep breath and smiled. "YOLO," she whispered, heading out to the car (leaving the paper with "Start your life of crime!" on the counter next to the cutting board).
